You speak, we listen, and justice always prevails

Can you imagine being pulled over every time you drive your spouse's vehicle to run errands, take your kids to school or daycare? In an "unprecedented" case, the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse (CDPDJ) is seeking $205,000 in compensation from the Superior Court of Quebec for a black Terrebonne resident who was stopped by police officers 15 times in less than three years simply for driving his wife's car. In addition, the license plate numbers of the vehicles driven by Mr. Monsanto was reportedly searched in police databases 83 times during the period in question. Meanwhile, police officers continue to conduct traffic stops of black men for driving a vehicle owned by a woman. Remember, “You speak, we listen, and justice always prevails”.
